£300 includes everything shown above and you will receive a fully functional, published website with content supplied by yourself for the 5 or 7 starter pages. It does not include domain renewals, additional plugins or expansions, additional design work or major modifications to the layout, scheme, templates or artwork, SEO, marketing and outreach campaigns nor any additional page content which you will be able to add yourself. If you are looking for a fully managed package please contact us for a quotation. All these “not included” items are available for this package at an additional cost.

You will need:-

  • Company name and preferred domain name which will be registered on your behalf, subject to availability
  • A logo (we can have one designed for you if you don’t have one – POA)
  • Content for the major pages listed above (the more the merrier)
  • Web-ready Images (in jpeg or png format)

The Website Starter Package is not limited; you can add as many pages, blogs, images, even videos and so on as you wish.

Expanding the functionality is via “plugin” modules. You can add these yourself (at your own risk) or we can do this for you for a small fee.

For example, you may want to start selling online – eCommerce. To enable this you will required a suitable eCommerce plugin (we recommend WooCommerce), a Payment Gateway (PayPal is the easiest, or you can get a merchant account from your Bank), and if you are going to be shipping larger and more complex orders then a Table Rate Shipping module to calculate the correct shipping charges (unless you are offering free shipping of course). Since this is a time consuming and complex to setup you will require assistance and we are able to help. Please ask for a quotation.

Q. What is WordPress?

A. WordPress is content management system, or CMS for short. It is the most popular CMS in use on the planet today. It provides you with an interface through which you can manage all aspects of your website, the content of the pages, the images, the blog, the menu system and so on. Its as easy as using Word. You do not need to know any coding.

Q. What are the limitations of the package

A. None really. This Website Starter Package is designed to get you started, and in itself maybe be perfect for your needs. You can use the website for any kind of business subject to our terms and conditions* .  Should you require more, simply add more: more pages, more images, more articles, and to achieve more functionality just add Plugins.

Q. Can I sell online with this package?

A. Yes but not out of the box. To add eCommerce functionality you will need a Plugin called WooCommerce. We can help you set this up. There is no additional cost for WooCommerce, just your time adding in the products. Once done, you can start selling online straight away.

Q. What about SEO?

A. Search Engine Optimisation – the black art of getting your website ranking highly in the search engines – Google, Bing and Yahoo. Thankfully, WordPress is very SEO friendly out of the box. But to get even better results your going to have to spend some time working on your keywords, running email campaigns, writing blogs (you can use the built-in blog system), making links via Social Media and running other out reach campaigns some of which can be via traditional marketing methods such as local press, shows and exhibitions. All this comes under your Marketing department, which could be you. We will help guide you but the day to day running of it is your job. One great Plugin that will help the SEO on the website is called Yoast. We recommend you install this and start using it – it really works. But for your website to be really effective you need great content, and plenty of it.
